Columbus Yachts Set Sail to Construct the Second Atlantique 37 All-Aluminum Superyacht

by JLMMARINE 16 Oct 2024

Columbus Yachts Embarks on the Journey of Building the Second Atlantique 37

Columbus Yachts, a reputable branch of Palumbo Superyachts, has funded the construction of the Atlantique 37, a new yacht, at its Savona shipyard, Italy. This impressive all-aluminum superyacht, the second in its series, is set for delivery in 2027.

Craftsmanship and Engineering Meet in Atlantique 37

The yacht, built entirely of aluminum, boasts an exterior and interior design by the Italian studio, Hot Lab. The ship's engineering is managed by an in-house team from the Italian shipyard. This design, combining style and function, is dedicated to sea travel and aims to enhance the interaction between onboard space and the maritime environment.

The external lines of the Atlantique 37 are described as "clean and elegant, with a hint of sportiness," and its hull is reminiscent of traditional sailing vessels.

Inside the Atlantique 37: A Homely Feel at Sea

Stepping inside, the compact 299GT internal layout includes four double cabins on the lower deck and a master cabin on the main deck's bow. The Master suites come with stationary terraces, double sink bathrooms, large central showers, and walk-in wardrobes.

The superyacht features two dining areas; one on the main deck and the other on the upper deck. On the topmost part, the dining area accommodates ten people, equipped with large round windows that can be adjusted by sliding to promote connection with the sea.

Stand-out Features of the Atlantique 37

Other highlights include a panoramic swimming pool at the stern, a mere 50 centimeters above sea level. A garage at the starboard houses a five-meter long tender and a rescue boat.

The Atlantique 37, with its semi-planing hull and powered by two 2000hp MAN engines, can reach a top speed of 22 knots and has a cruising speed of 19 knots.

Columbus Yachts: Pioneers in the Yachting World

Columbus Yachts, founded in 2008 and part of Palumbo Superyachts Group, has had a successful run with its Atlantique series. The shipyard launched its new flagship, the Columbus Classic 80-meter superyacht "Dragon," in early 2019. It joined the illustrious Columbus fleet alongside the award-winning Sport Hybrid 40 Divine, 57-meters "Taiba," and 40 "Eleonora III."

Columbus Yachts offers four different series: sport, classic, crossover, and unique custom lines. Palumbo Superyachts operates a network of five shipyards in the Mediterranean region (Ancona, Malta, Marseille, Naples, and Savona) and manages the following brands: ISA Yachts, Extra Yachts, Columbus Yachts, Mondomarine, and Palumbo SY Refit.
