This marine performance enhancer is designed to improve handling, planing speed, and fuel efficiency for a wide range of outboard motors and stern drives from 40 to 350 horsepower. It mounts directly to the anti-ventilation plate, providing significant improvements in stability and control.

This is a direct replacement for parts such as SE Sport 300 HydroFoil, HD300 Whale Tail Stabilizer, and FO2003 Whale Tail Hydrofoil.

  • Installation Method: Bolt-on to the anti-ventilation plate (requires drilling).

Installation Guide

  1. Step 1: Center the hydrofoil stabilizer on top of the anti-ventilation plate of your outboard motor or stern drive.
  2. Step 2: Ensure the hydrofoil is positioned correctly and mark the locations for the four mounting holes.
  3. Step 3: Using the included 6.5mm drill bit, carefully drill the four marked holes through the anti-ventilation plate.
  4. Step 4: Place the hydrofoil back onto the plate, aligning the holes. Insert the stainless steel bolts from the top and secure them with the nuts from underneath.
  5. Step 5: Tighten the bolts firmly but do not overtighten. Ensure the stabilizer is secure and does not move.
  6. Note for Volvo Drives: For certain Volvo models (SX-A, DPS, etc.), you may need to source longer bolts and a fender washer for proper installation.
