Installation Guide

1. Turn off the engine completely and close the engine's water intake valve (seacock).
2. Locate the sea water pump, which is typically mounted on the front of the engine, and place a rag underneath to catch any spilled water.
3. Carefully remove the screws from the pump's cover plate. If a screw is stuck, use penetrating oil but avoid stripping it.
4. Gently pry off the cover plate. Take note of which way the old impeller's blades are bent.
5. Using needle-nose pliers or a dedicated impeller puller tool, firmly grip the hub of the old impeller and pull it straight out.
6. Thoroughly clean the inside of the pump housing and remove any leftover debris or pieces of the old gasket.
7. Apply a liberal amount of water-based lubricant, like dish soap or glycerin, to the inside of the pump housing and all over the new impeller.
8. Squeeze the new impeller and insert it into the housing, ensuring the blades bend in the same direction as the old one.
9. Place the new gasket and O-ring in position and reinstall the cover plate, tightening the screws in a crisscross pattern to ensure an even seal.
10. Open the water intake seacock, start the engine, and immediately check the pump and exhaust for proper water flow and leaks.
