Installation Guide

1. Turn off the engine and close the raw water intake valve (seacock).
2. Locate the sea water pump, typically mounted on the engine block.
3. Remove the screws holding the pump cover plate in place.
4. Carefully remove the cover and the old O-ring seal.
5. Use pliers to grip the hub of the old impeller and pull it straight out. Note the direction of the vanes.
6. Clean the inside of the pump housing and the cover plate.
7. Lightly lubricate the new O-ring and the inside of the pump housing with marine grease or soap.
8. Install the new impeller by pushing it in while twisting it in the direction of engine rotation to bend the vanes correctly.
9. Place the new O-ring into its groove on the pump housing.
10. Reinstall the cover plate and tighten the screws evenly.
11. Open the seacock, start the engine, and immediately check for water leaks around the pump cover.
