- Disconnect the old female fitting from the fuel line. This may require carefully cutting the old hose clamp.
- Inspect the end of the fuel hose for any signs of wear, cracking, or damage. Trim if necessary for a clean connection.
- Slide a new hose clamp over the fuel hose.
- Firmly push the new sprayless female connector into the fuel hose until it is fully seated.
- Position the hose clamp approximately 1/4 inch from the end of the hose and tighten it securely.
- Connect the fitting to the male connector on the fuel tank or engine and listen for a click to confirm engagement.
- Prime the fuel bulb until it becomes firm, and carefully inspect the connection for any signs of leakage.
