Installation Guide
Disconnect the battery. Support the drive. Replacement typically requires drive and bell-housing access — follow the MerCruiser service manual for your drive. Special hinge-pin tools may be required.
Note wire routing. Remove the old port (limit) and starboard (gauge) switches from the gimbal ring. Compare the OEM number to 805320A03.
Install the new switches in the same port/starboard positions. Do not pinch leads in the gimbal. Use adaptor jumpers only if your harness still uses ring terminals.
Reconnect the battery. Confirm the trim gauge moves with drive angle and that the trim button stops at the limit while the trailer button still raises the drive. Adjust the limit only as specified in the service manual.
Note: Professional installation is recommended to ensure safety and optimal performance.
