Installation Guide

  1. Clean the lower unit and skeg thoroughly, removing any marine growth or debris.
  2. Slide the skeg guard onto your existing skeg to confirm the fit. Ensure it sits flush against the skeg.
  3. With the guard in place, use the pre-drilled holes in the guard as a template to mark the drilling locations on your skeg.
  4. Remove the guard and carefully drill through the skeg using the included drill bit.
  5. Apply a marine-grade sealant to the inside of the skeg guard and around the drilled holes to prevent water intrusion. This step is highly recommended.
  6. Place the skeg guard back onto the skeg, aligning the holes.
  7. Insert the mounting bolts and secure them with the included self-locking nuts and hex wrenches.
  8. Tighten the hardware evenly until the skeg guard is firmly secured. Do not overtighten.
