Outboard Motor Transom Support Saver – Fits Single Ram Tilt/Trim Systems
This transom support saver is designed for outboard engines equipped with a single ram tilt/trim system. It helps protect your transom, steering system, and engine by absorbing stress and vibrations during trailering. It effectively prevents the engine from bouncing and turning, reducing strain on the hydraulic tilt system and transom assembly.
This part is a direct replacement for QuickMarine TS002, WYFWFDF Transom Saver for Single Ram, and NorthBoat Transom Saver Kit.

- Slide the transom saver wedge over the ram shaft. Ensure it is centered and seated securely.
- Slowly lower the outboard motor until the support saver is held firmly between the motor's lower unit and the transom bracket.
- Continue lowering until the pressure is transferred to the support saver, stabilizing the engine.
- For additional security, attach the two orange stabilizer clips to the hydraulic steering rams to prevent the engine from turning side-to-side during transit.
- Before launching the boat, raise the motor slightly to relieve pressure, then remove the transom saver and stabilizer clips.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
How do I know if this will fit my outboard motor?
This transom saver is specifically designed for single ram tilt/trim systems. It is confirmed to be compatible with most Mercury (15-200 HP 4-Stroke), Yamaha (9-90 HP & F115LB), Honda, Suzuki, and Evinrude/Johnson outboards. The best way to confirm fitment is to visually inspect your motor to ensure it uses a single tilt/trim ram.
What is the purpose of the two orange clips?
The two orange clips included are outboard steer stop stabilizers. They should be attached to your hydraulic steering rams (one on each side) to prevent the engine from turning left or right while trailering, providing an extra layer of security against movement.
Is this safe for saltwater use?
Yes. The transom saver is constructed from high-density, corrosion-resistant EPDM rubber, which makes it durable and safe for both salt and freshwater environments.
