Installation Guide

1. Ensure the engine is off and has cooled down. Close the raw water intake seacock.
2. Locate the raw water pump on your engine. Place a rag underneath to catch any spilled coolant.
3. Remove the screws holding the pump cover plate in place.
4. Carefully pry the cover plate off. Note the orientation of the old impeller blades.
5. Use needle-nose pliers or impeller pullers to remove the old impeller from the pump housing.
6. Clean the inside of the pump housing and the cover plate, removing any old gasket material or debris.
7. Lightly lubricate the new impeller and the inside of the pump housing with a suitable marine lubricant.
8. Install the new impeller, bending the blades in the same direction as the old one was oriented.
9. Install the new gasket and/or O-ring on the cover plate.
10. Re-secure the cover plate with the screws, tightening them evenly in a star pattern.
11. Open the raw water seacock.
12. Start the engine and check immediately for proper water flow from the exhaust and inspect the pump for leaks.
