1. Ensure the engine is off and the area is well-ventilated. Disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety.
2. Turn off the fuel supply valve.
3. Place an oil absorbent pad or rag under the existing filter to catch any fuel spillage.
4. Carefully loosen the clamps and disconnect the fuel lines from the old filter. Note the direction of the fuel flow arrow.
5. Remove the old filter from its mounting bracket.
6. Install the new filter, making sure the fuel flow arrow points in the correct direction (towards the engine).
7. Securely reattach the fuel lines and tighten the clamps.
8. Reconnect the negative battery terminal and turn the fuel supply back on.
9. Prime the fuel system by squeezing the primer bulb until firm.
10. Start the engine and carefully inspect the filter and connections for any leaks.
