Installation Guide

1. Safety First: Turn off the engine and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
2. Locate VST: Find the Vapor Separator Tank (VST) on your outboard motor.
3. Relieve Pressure: Carefully relieve fuel pressure from the system according to your engine's service manual.
4. Disconnect Lines: Disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connectors attached to the VST.
5. Access Filter: Remove the screws holding the VST cover and lift it off to access the fuel pump and filter assembly.
6. Remove Old Filter: Gently detach the old fuel filter element from the base of the high-pressure fuel pump. Note its orientation.
7. Install New Filter: Securely install the new filter element in the same position as the old one.
8. Reassemble: Re-install the fuel pump into the VST, replace the cover gasket, and secure the VST cover.
9. Reconnect: Reattach all fuel lines and electrical connectors.
10. Prime & Check: Reconnect the battery, prime the fuel system using the primer bulb, and start the engine. Check for any leaks around the VST and fuel line connections.
