How to Match This Part
This is a flexible rubber raw water pump impeller. It sits inside the pump housing behind the cover plate and is driven by a splined shaft. It replaces the primary original part number Jabsco 17937-0001, and is also supplied against JMP 7426-01, DJ 007-1001 and CAT 7C3286.
Match this part by checking your engine in this order:
1. Original impeller part number (stamped on the old impeller or listed in the pump section of your parts catalog)
2. Blade count (this listing is 10 blades, not the 8-blade 920-0001 / Johnson 09-1028B family)
3. Drive type (this listing is a 12-spline hub, not a key drive)
4. Pump model (cast or labelled on the pump body)
Identify it physically before ordering. This impeller has ten vanes moulded in black neoprene around a machined brass 12-spline insert (Jabsco Profile Y). JMP 7426-01 is 65 mm diameter, 50 mm width and 15.8 mm (5/8 in.) bore. Jabsco charts the same envelope as 65 × 51 × 16 mm. Count the blades on the old impeller: 8-blade Jabsco 920-0001 / JMP 7400-01 / Johnson 09-1028B share the same outer size and spline hub and are a different part. It is not interchangeable with 12-blade key-drive 18327-0001 (51 mm) or 18948-0001 (41.5 mm).
- ✓ Primary OEM: Jabsco 17937-0001
- ✓ Product form: 10-blade neoprene impeller, brass 12-spline insert, 50 mm width
- ✓ Fitment: part number, then blade count, then drive type

Compatible Engine Models
Confirm the original impeller number and count ten blades on a 50 mm 12-spline hub. Do not assume every Yanmar, Perkins, CAT or Onan diesel uses this part. JMP 7426-01 also lists Volvo Penta 801277, 825941 and 877061-2; match those original numbers rather than a Volvo engine family.

Package Contents
This listing is for the impeller only, as shown in the impeller in the product images. Please refer to the part number cross-reference table to confirm component details.
Cover plate gasket, O-ring and lubricant are not included. Jabsco 17937-0001P and JMP 7426-01K add those service parts. If a photo of this SKU shows a gasket in a retail blister, it is a catalog extra, not part of this listing.
Installation Guide
-
1
Stop the engine, let it cool, and close the raw water seacock so water cannot enter the boat while the pump is open.
-
2
Remove the cover plate screws and lift off the cover. Keep the screws and the old gasket together so you can compare the seal size when reassembling.
-
3
Note the spline orientation, then grip the brass insert and pull the old impeller straight off. Recover any broken vane pieces from the downstream cooling circuit before continuing.
-
4
Clean the housing bore and the wear plate, and inspect them for scoring. Apply a marine-grade impeller lubricant, glycerine or soapy water to the bore and the new vanes. Do not use petroleum-based grease, which attacks neoprene.
-
5
Align the spline in the brass insert with the pump shaft, then press the impeller in while turning the shaft in the normal direction of rotation so all ten vanes lay over the same way.
-
6
Refit the cover plate with a serviceable gasket, tighten the screws evenly in a crisscross pattern, open the seacock, then start the engine and confirm a solid stream of cooling water and no leaks at the cover.
Note: Professional installation is recommended to ensure safety and optimal performance.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
How do I confirm this fits my engine?
+
Start from the original impeller number. If the old part is Jabsco 17937-0001, JMP 7426-01, DJ 007-1001 or CAT 7C3286, and the brass hub is a 12-spline about 50 mm wide on a 65 mm 10-blade impeller, this part is the correct size.
Is this the same as Jabsco 920-0001 / Johnson 09-1028B / JMP 7400-01?
+
No. Those numbers share the same 65 mm spline envelope, but they are 8-blade impellers. This listing is 10 blades. Count the blades before ordering.
Is this the same as Jabsco 17937-0003 / JMP 7426-02?
+
No. Those are the nitrile / bilge twins of this size. This listing is neoprene for raw-water cooling.
Is this the same as Jabsco 18327-0001 / JMP 7352-01?
+
No. 18327-0001 is 12-blade key drive, 51 mm wide. This listing is 10-blade spline.
Will this fit every Yanmar, Perkins or CAT diesel?
+
No. Only engines whose parts list calls for 17937-0001, 7426-01 or 7C3286. Several Yanmar and Perkins numbers on the source sheet also appear on 8-blade 920-0001. Match the original number and count ten blades.
What are the signs that my impeller needs replacing?
+
The usual symptoms are a weak or intermittent stream of cooling water, rising engine temperature, and vanes that are cracked, flattened, hardened or missing on inspection. Flexible impellers are a wear item; inspect on a fixed service interval rather than waiting for failure.
Is this a kit or just the impeller?
+
This listing is the impeller only. Jabsco 17937-0001P and JMP 7426-01K are kit numbers that add a cover gasket, an O-ring and lubricant. Photos that show those extras are catalog shots.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
+
This listing is an aftermarket replacement part and is not an OEM component. We build to OEM specifications using comparable-grade materials. Production is done in an ISO9002-certified facility, and each batch is inspected for consistent performance.
How fast do you ship and how much does it cost?
+
We offer fast global shipping, typically 5–15 days worldwide, and standard shipping is free. Expedited options are available at checkout depending on your location.
What is your warranty and return policy?
+
This product includes a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If something goes wrong, contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard return window for unused items in original condition; please see our policy page or reach out for instructions.
Important Notes
- Verify that the product images and specifications match your original part. If discrepancies exist, even if your model is listed, do not proceed with the purchase.
- This product is an aftermarket replacement part and is not an OEM component.
- The impeller is supplied on its own. Cover seals and lubricant must be ordered separately if your service procedure requires them.
- This is a 10-blade, 65 mm 12-spline impeller, 50 mm wide. It will not fit 8-blade 920-0001, key-drive 18327-0001, or 41.5 mm 18948-0001.
- Never run the pump dry. Even a few seconds without water will damage the neoprene vanes.
- Professional installation is recommended to ensure safety and optimal performance.
