Installation Guide
Allow the engine to cool completely and disconnect the battery before starting work.
Compare the new elbow to the original for flange bolt pattern, water-nipple location, and outlet angle before removing the old part.
Remove the old elbow, clean the manifold mating face, and install a suitable exhaust gasket and fasteners as specified in the engine service manual.
Seat the new elbow on the flange, tighten fasteners evenly to the manufacturer’s torque values, then reconnect the water inlet hose and exhaust hose with secure clamps.
Reconnect the battery, start the engine, and check for water or exhaust leaks at the flange and hose joints before returning the vessel to service.
Note: Follow the Yanmar service manual for torque and gasket requirements. Professional installation is recommended.
