- Depressurize the hydraulic trim system by following the manufacturer's specified procedure.
- Identify the pin holding the trim ram cylinder and locate the existing e-ring clip.
- Using snap ring or circlip pliers, carefully remove the old e-ring clip from its groove.
- Inspect the pin and groove for any wear or damage. Clean the area before installing the new clip.
- Grasp the new E-Ring Clip with your circlip pliers.
- Carefully expand the clip just enough to slide it over the end of the pin and into the groove.
- Release the pliers and ensure the clip snaps firmly and securely into place within the groove.
- Tug lightly on the clip to confirm it is fully seated and will not come loose.
