Installation Guide

Allow the engine to cool completely and disconnect the battery before starting work.

Compare the new elbow to the original for square 4-bolt flange layout, vertical water-port location, and hose diameters before removing the old part.

Remove the old elbow, clean the manifold mating face, and install a suitable exhaust gasket and fasteners as specified in the engine service manual (gasket commonly referenced as Yanmar 128370-13201 or equivalent).

Seat the new elbow on the flange, tighten fasteners evenly to the manufacturer’s torque values, then reconnect the water inlet hose and 2" exhaust hose with secure clamps.

Reconnect the battery, start the engine, and check for water or exhaust leaks at the flange and hose joints before returning the vessel to service.
