Installation Guide

1. Ensure the engine is off and the boat is securely trailered or stored.
2. Clean the remaining portion of your skeg, removing any burrs or rough edges. A file may be used to flatten the surface for a flush fit.
3. Fit the new skeg guard over the damaged skeg to check for proper alignment. A minimum of 2-3 inches of the original skeg must be remaining for a secure fit.
4. Use a marker to mark the drill points on the skeg through the pre-drilled holes in the new guard.
5. Remove the skeg guard and carefully drill two 1/4-inch holes through the skeg at your marked locations.
6. Place the skeg guard back onto the skeg, ensuring the mounting holes align perfectly.
7. Insert the included mounting bolts with pre-applied Loctite through the guard and the skeg.
8. Tighten the bolts securely using the appropriate wrenches. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the threads or the skeg.
9. Confirm the guard is firm and has no movement. The installation is now complete.
