Installation Guide

1. Shut off the engine and disconnect the battery cable.
2. Close the raw water intake valve (seacock) to prevent water from entering the boat.
3. Locate the raw water pump; you may need to remove other components for access.
4. Unscrew the bolts on the pump's cover plate and remove it. Note the direction the old impeller blades are facing.
5. Remove the old impeller using needle-nose pliers or a dedicated impeller puller tool.
6. Clean the inside of the pump housing thoroughly and inspect it for scoring or damage.
7. Lubricate the interior of the housing and the new impeller with a water-resistant grease or liquid soap.
8. Install the new impeller by pushing it in while twisting in the direction of the pump's normal rotation to bend the blades correctly.
9. Place the new gasket or O-ring onto the housing and re-secure the cover plate, tightening the screws evenly.
10. Open the raw water intake valve.
11. Reconnect the battery, start the engine, and immediately check the exhaust for proper water flow and look for any leaks around the pump.
