Installation Guide

1. Safety First: Shut down the engine completely and close the raw water intake seacock.
2. Access the Pump: Locate the raw water pump and carefully remove the screws from the cover plate.
3. Remove Old Impeller: Gently pry off the cover. Remove the old impeller using impeller-pulling pliers or two screwdrivers. Note the direction the blades are bent.
4. Clean Housing: Clean the inside of the pump housing, removing any old gasket material, debris, or broken impeller blades.
5. Install Gasket/O-Ring: Place the new gasket or O-ring into position on the pump body.
6. Lubricate and Insert: Apply a water-resistant grease or dish soap to the inside of the housing and the new impeller.
7. Position New Impeller: Insert the new impeller by squeezing the blades together and pushing it into the housing. Bend the blades in the same direction as the old ones.
8. Replace Cover: Reinstall the cover plate, ensuring a proper seal. Tighten the screws in a crisscross pattern.
9. Test System: Open the seacock. Start the engine and immediately check for water flow from the exhaust and look for any leaks around the pump cover.
