1. Ensure the engine is off and the water intake seacock is closed.
2. Remove the pump's faceplate screws to access the impeller.
3. Carefully thread the body of the impeller puller tool clockwise into the 3/4"-16 threaded hub of the impeller until it is snug.
4. Turn the tool's center bolt handle clockwise. This will press against the pump shaft end.
5. Continue tightening the center bolt. The impeller will be drawn straight out of the pump bore without damage.
6. Once the impeller is fully removed, unthread the puller from the impeller hub.
