It threads into the exhaust on selected Yamaha V6 two-stroke HPDI and EFI outboards from 150 to 250 HP and reports exhaust oxygen so the ECU can trim fuel. Installation Guide

Allow the engine and exhaust housing to cool fully. Disconnect the battery negative cable before unplugging the sensor leads.

Note the cable routing and which plug goes where, then unplug both connectors. Unscrew the old sensor from the exhaust housing with the correct oxygen-sensor socket or wrench on the hex — do not crush the lead.

Confirm the OEM number and the black/blue dual-connector layout match this 68F-8592A-00 assembly. Thread the new sensor in by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten snugly on the hex. Follow the Yamaha service manual for your model for tightening and thread treatment.

Reconnect both plugs until they lock, restore the battery, start the engine, and confirm there is no exhaust leak at the bung and that the EFI / HPDI system runs without an oxygen-sensor fault.
