How to Match This Part
This is a flexible rubber raw water pump impeller. It sits inside the pump housing behind the cover plate and is driven by a 12-tooth splined shaft. It replaces the primary original part number Jabsco 13554-0001, and is also supplied against Johnson 09-812B, JMP 7136-01, DJ 09-105-1201 and Yanmar 119773-42600.
Match this part by checking your engine in this order:
1. Original impeller part number (stamped on the old impeller or listed in the pump section of your parts catalog)
2. Width (this listing is about 48 mm thick, not the 31.5 mm 1210-0001)
3. Drive type (this listing is a 12-spline hub, not a key drive)
4. Pump model (cast or labelled on the pump body)
Identify it physically before ordering. This impeller has twelve vanes moulded in black neoprene around a machined brass 12-spline insert. Jabsco 13554-0001 is 57 mm diameter, 48 mm (1-29/32 in.) width and 16 mm (5/8 in.) bore, Profile K. JMP 7136-01 measures 57 × 48.2 × 16 mm. It is not interchangeable with the shorter 12-spline 1210-0001 (31.5 mm) or the key-drive 4568-0001.
- ✓ Primary OEM: Jabsco 13554-0001
- ✓ Product form: 12-blade neoprene impeller, brass 12-spline insert, 48 mm width
- ✓ Fitment: part number, then width, then drive type

Package Contents
This listing is for the impeller only, as shown in the product images. Please refer to the part number cross-reference table to confirm component details.
Cover plate gaskets, spline seals and lubricant are not included. Jabsco 13554-0001-P and JMP 7136-01K add those service parts. If your service procedure calls for a new cover seal, order it separately against your pump model.
Installation Guide
-
1
Stop the engine, let it cool, and close the raw water seacock so water cannot enter the boat while the pump is open.
-
2
Remove the cover plate screws and lift off the cover. Keep the screws and the old gasket or spline seal together so you can compare the seal size when reassembling.
-
3
Note the spline orientation, then grip the brass insert and pull the old impeller straight off. Recover any broken vane pieces from the downstream cooling circuit before continuing.
-
4
Clean the housing bore and the wear plate, and inspect them for scoring. Apply a marine-grade impeller lubricant, glycerine or soapy water to the bore and the new vanes. Do not use petroleum-based grease, which attacks neoprene.
-
5
Align the 12-tooth spline in the brass insert with the pump shaft, then press the impeller in while turning the shaft in the normal direction of rotation so all twelve vanes lay over the same way.
-
6
Refit the cover plate with a serviceable gasket or spline seal, tighten the screws evenly in a crisscross pattern, open the seacock, then start the engine and confirm a solid stream of cooling water and no leaks at the cover.
Note: Professional installation is recommended to ensure safety and optimal performance.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
How do I confirm this fits my engine?
+
Start from the original impeller number. If the old part is Jabsco 13554-0001, Johnson 09-812B, JMP 7136-01, DJ 09-105-1201, Yanmar 119773-42600 or Northern Lights 25-11031, and the brass hub is a 12-tooth spline about 48 mm wide, this impeller is the correct size.
Is this the same as 1210-0001?
+
No. Both are 12-blade, 57 mm, 16 mm 12-spline Profile K, but 1210-0001 is 31.5 mm wide. This listing is 48 mm wide and will not seat in a 1210-0001 housing.
Will this fit every Yanmar 6LP or Volvo Penta gasoline inboard?
+
No. Only engines whose parts list calls for 119773-42600, 13554-0001 or 09-812B. Some Volvo gasoline pumps use a different width. Match the original number and measure the old impeller width.
What are the signs that my impeller needs replacing?
+
The usual symptoms are a weak or intermittent stream of cooling water, rising engine temperature, and vanes that are cracked, flattened, hardened or missing on inspection. Flexible impellers are a wear item; inspect on a fixed service interval rather than waiting for failure.
Is this a kit or just the impeller?
+
This listing is the impeller only. Jabsco 13554-0001-P and JMP 7136-01K are kit numbers that add a gasket or spline seal and lubricant.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
+
This listing is an aftermarket replacement part and is not an OEM component. We build to OEM specifications using comparable-grade materials. Production is done in an ISO9002-certified facility, and each batch is inspected for consistent performance.
How fast do you ship and how much does it cost?
+
We offer fast global shipping, typically 5–15 days worldwide, and standard shipping is free. Expedited options are available at checkout depending on your location.
What is your warranty and return policy?
+
This product includes a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If something goes wrong, contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard return window for unused items in original condition; please see our policy page or reach out for instructions.
Important Notes
- Verify that the product images and specifications match your original part. If discrepancies exist, even if your model is listed, do not proceed with the purchase.
- This product is an aftermarket replacement part and is not an OEM component.
- The impeller is supplied on its own. Cover seals and lubricant must be ordered separately if your service procedure requires them.
- This is a 48 mm wide 12-spline impeller. It will not fit the 31.5 mm 1210-0001 or the key-drive 4568-0001.
- Never run the pump dry. Even a few seconds without water will damage the neoprene vanes.
- Professional installation is recommended to ensure safety and optimal performance.
