Installation Guide

1. Ensure the engine is completely cool and the battery is disconnected.
2. Locate the existing drain elbow on the bottom of the exhaust manifold.
3. Place a suitable container below the elbow to catch any draining water.
4. Carefully unscrew and remove the old drain elbow.
5. Clean the threads on the exhaust manifold to remove any old sealant or debris.
6. Apply a suitable marine-grade thread sealant to the threads of the new elbow.
7. Screw the new elbow into the manifold until it is hand-tight, then tighten moderately with a wrench. Do not overtighten.
8. Re-install the drain plug into the new elbow.
9. After running the engine, check the fitting for any signs of leaks.
