Installation Guide

  1. Disconnect the boat's battery to prevent electrical hazards.
  2. Drain the engine cooling system completely.
  3. Loosen the alternator and remove the serpentine or V-belts from the pump pulley.
  4. Carefully disconnect the water hoses connected to the pump.
  5. Unbolt and remove the old water pump from the engine block.
  6. Thoroughly clean the gasket mating surface on the engine, removing all old material.
  7. Position the new gasket on the engine block.
  8. Mount the new water pump and tighten the mounting bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque.
  9. Reconnect the water hoses and securely tighten the clamps.
  10. Reinstall and tension the belts correctly.
  11. Refill the cooling system with the appropriate coolant mixture.
  12. Reconnect the battery, start the engine, and carefully check for any leaks around the pump and hoses.
