Installation Guide
- 1Turn the ignition off and disconnect the negative battery cable before working around the trim system or electrical harness.
- 2Locate the existing starboard analog trim sender on the power-trim / swivel-bracket area per your engine’s parts diagram. Note wire routing, terminal orientation, and mounting fastener positions before removal.
- 3Disconnect the leads, remove the mounting fasteners, and withdraw the old sender. Compare the new unit side by side with the original — mount side, drive engagement, and connector style must match the product images.
- 4Install the new sender in the same starboard orientation so the sender drive engages the trim shaft correctly, tighten fasteners to the torque values in your Mercury / Mariner service manual, and reconnect the leads.
- 5Reconnect the battery, run the trim through its full range, and confirm smooth analog gauge response with no binding of the sender drive.
Note: Professional installation is recommended if you are unsure about starboard alignment or gauge calibration.
