Installation Notes

  1. With the engine off, cool, and upright, gather the service manual, the required fluids, a drain pan, and clean rags.
  2. Service the engine oil filter and inline fuel filter following the engine manual; keep the fuel-filter flow direction consistent with the removed filter.
  3. Replace both gearcase drain/fill sealing washers during gearcase service. Use the included manual pump assembly to add the specified gear lubricant through the lower service opening.
  4. Install service screws to the engine maker’s specification, clean the area, and inspect the serviced points for leaks before operation.
