This CDI Ignition Module is designed to fit Johnson Evinrude 2-cylinder engines from 1977-1984 (4-60HP) that do not require an RPM limiter. It provides reliable ignition performance for a wide range of models including 4HP, 4.5HP, 6HP, 7.5HP, 8HP, 9.9HP, 15HP, 25HP, 30HP, 35HP, 40HP, 50HP, 55HP, and 60HP engines. Installation Guide

  1. Disconnect the battery to ensure safety before beginning any electrical work.
  2. Locate the existing CDI power pack on your engine, typically mounted near the flywheel assembly.
  3. Label each wire connection before disconnecting to ensure correct reinstallation.
  4. Remove the mounting bolts securing the old power pack to the engine block.
  5. Carefully disconnect all electrical connectors from the old CDI module.
  6. Position the new CDI module in the same location as the original unit.
  7. Secure the new module with the mounting bolts.
  8. Reconnect all electrical connectors according to your labels.
  9. Inspect all wire routing to ensure wires are clear of moving parts.
  10. Reconnect the battery and test the ignition system.
