  1. Stop the engine, let it cool and keep fuel away from ignition sources. Collect used fluids in suitable containers.
  2. Match each included filter and seal to the removed component before installation.
  3. Install the oil and fuel filters in the original orientation. Follow the engine service manual for tightening and fuel-system priming.
  4. Fit both new gearcase drain gaskets and use the included pump for gear-oil transfer. Follow the service manual for the fill procedure and plug sequence.
  5. Inspect every serviced joint for leakage and verify fluid levels before returning the outboard to operation.
