Allow the engine and exhaust manifold to cool fully. Disconnect the battery negative cable before unplugging the sensor connector.

Note the harness routing and clip positions, then unplug the connector. Unscrew the old sensor from the exhaust manifold with the correct oxygen-sensor socket or wrench on the hex — do not crush the lead.

Confirm the OEM number (35655-ZY3-003 or 35655-ZY3-013) and connector layout match this assembly and the product images. Thread the new sensor in by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten on the hex per the Honda service manual for your model.

Reconnect the plug until it locks, restore any harness clips, reconnect the battery, start the engine, and confirm there is no exhaust leak at the bung and no oxygen-sensor fault.
