Installation Guide

1. Ensure the engine is off and the water intake seacock is closed.
2. Place a catch pan under the seawater pump to collect any spilled coolant or water.
3. Loosen the screws or bolts on the pump cover plate and remove it.
4. Using pliers or an impeller puller, firmly grip the hub of the old impeller and pull it straight out of the pump housing.
5. Clean the interior of the pump housing, ensuring no old impeller pieces or debris remain.
6. Lightly lubricate the new impeller and the inside of the pump housing with a water-based lubricant or glycerin.
7. Insert the new impeller by pinching the blades together and pushing it into the housing with a twisting motion in the direction of engine rotation.
8. Inspect the old gasket or O-ring on the cover plate and replace it with the new one from the kit.
9. Reinstall the cover plate and tighten the screws evenly in a crisscross pattern.
10. Open the water intake seacock.
11. Start the engine and immediately check for leaks around the pump cover.
12. Verify that water is flowing correctly from the exhaust outlet.
