Installation Guide

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the engine Cowling.
2. Shift the outboard into neutral and remove the bolts securing the lower unit (gearcase).
3. Gently separate the lower unit from the engine's upper section.
4. Locate the water pump housing on top of the lower unit and remove its mounting bolts.
5. Slide the housing up and off the driveshaft to expose the old impeller. Note the rotational direction of the existing blades.
6. Remove the old impeller and the drive key from the shaft.
7. Wipe the driveshaft and interior of the housing clean.
8. Insert the new drive key into the driveshaft slot.
9. Slide the new impeller onto the shaft, ensuring the key aligns with the impeller's keyway.
10. While pushing down, turn the driveshaft clockwise to correctly flex the blades inside the housing.
11. Reinstall the water pump housing, tighten the bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque, and reassemble the lower unit to the engine.
12. Reconnect the battery and test operation with a proper water supply, confirming a strong stream from the tell-tale port.
