Installation Guide
Allow the engine and exhaust housing to cool fully. Disconnect the battery negative cable before unplugging the sensor lead.
Note the cable routing, then unplug the connector. Unscrew the old sensor from the exhaust housing with the correct oxygen-sensor socket or wrench on the hex — do not crush the lead.
Confirm the OEM number and connector layout match this 67H-8592A-00 assembly. Thread the new sensor in by hand to avoid cross-threading, then tighten snugly on the hex. Follow the Yamaha service manual for your model for tightening and thread treatment.
Reconnect the plug until it locks, restore the battery, start the engine, and confirm there is no exhaust leak at the bung and that the EFI system runs without an oxygen-sensor fault.
