Installation Instructions

1. Make sure the engine is completely shut down and fully cooled.
2. Disconnect the battery to prevent any accidental starting.
3. Remove the engine cover to expose the carburetor assembly.
4. Disconnect and label all fuel lines and control linkages so they can be re-installed correctly.
5. Remove the entire carburetor and place it on a clean workbench; note the original orientation of jets, throttle plates, and other parts.
6. Open the carburetor body and, in order, take out the old float, needle valve, jets, diaphragms, etc.; lay out the new gaskets, O-rings, needle-valve assembly, float-pivot pin, and other parts from the repair kit as shown in the instructions.
7. Clean every air and fuel passage thoroughly with carburetor cleaner or an ultrasonic bath; blow everything dry with compressed air to remove residue.
8. Following the repair-kit manual, install all new components and set the float height, idle-mixture screw, and other preliminary adjustments.
9. Reassemble the carburetor and mount it back on the engine; reconnect all fuel lines and linkages, then start the engine and fine-tune idle, mid-range, and high-speed mixtures to factory specifications until it runs smoothly without stalling or hesitation.
