Installation Guide

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the engine cowling.
2. Shift the outboard into neutral and remove the bolts securing the lower unit (gearcase).
3. Carefully lower the gearcase to separate it from the driveshaft housing, disconnecting the speedometer tube if present.
4. Remove the bolts on the water pump housing cover to access the impeller.
5. Take note of the old impeller's vane direction before removing it. Remove the old impeller, keyway, and gaskets.
6. Thoroughly clean all mating surfaces, removing any old gasket residue.
7. Install the new keyway and slide the new impeller onto the driveshaft.
8. Apply a light coat of marine grease to the inside of the housing and install the new gaskets.
9. Reinstall the water pump housing and tighten the bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque.
10. Reattach the lower unit to the engine, ensuring the driveshaft, water tube, and shift rod align correctly.
11. Once secured, reconnect the battery and test the engine with a proper water supply to verify water flow from the tell-tale port.
