Installation Guide
- Close the engine's seacock and drain any remaining water from the cooling system.
- Loosen and remove the serpentine belt from the raw water pump pulley.
- Carefully disconnect the intake and output water hoses from the pump.
- Unbolt the pump assembly from its mounting bracket on the engine.
- Remove the end cover screws and plate, taking care to note the orientation of internal parts.
- Extract the old impeller, shaft seal, O-rings, and bearings from the pump housing.
- Thoroughly clean all housing surfaces, removing any old gasket material or debris.
- Install the new bearings, seals, and retaining ring from the kit, ensuring proper seating.
- Lightly lubricate the new impeller and the inside of the pump housing with the provided lubricant.
- Insert the new impeller (twisting in the direction of engine rotation), then install the new gasket and end cover.
- Re-install the pump onto its bracket, reconnect the hoses securely, and re-tension the belt.
- Open the seacock, start the engine, and immediately check for any leaks and confirm steady water flow from the exhaust.
