- Ensure the boat is securely positioned off the trailer's bow stop to relieve all pressure.
- Use a wrench to loosen and remove the nut from the existing bow roller bolt.
- Slide the old bolt out of the winch post bracket to release the old roller. Note the order of any existing hardware.
- Clean the bracket area of any dirt or debris before installing the new assembly.
- Position the new polyurethane roller between the winch post brackets.
- Slide the new 1/2" mounting bolt through the bracket, one end bell, the roller, the second end bell, and out the other side of the bracket.
- Securely fasten the nut onto the bolt.
- Do not overtighten—the roller must be able to spin freely with minimal resistance.
- Check for smooth rotation before loading the boat against the new roller.
