Installation Guide

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Place the outboard in neutral and remove the lower unit mounting bolts.
3. Carefully separate the lower unit from the upper casing.
4. Unscrew the bolts securing the water pump housing and remove it.
5. Note the rotational direction of the old impeller fins before removing the impeller, key, gaskets, and wear plate.
6. Thoroughly clean all mating surfaces, removing any old gasket material or debris.
7. Install the new wear plate and gasket.
8. Insert the new key into the driveshaft and slide the new impeller on, turning the driveshaft clockwise to set the fins correctly.
9. Apply a light coat of marine grease to the inside of the new housing and install it over the impeller.
10. Tighten the housing bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque.
11. Reinstall the lower unit, ensuring the water tube and shift shaft are correctly aligned.
12. Reconnect the battery, start the engine in a water-filled container or with a hose attachment, and confirm a steady water stream from the tell-tale outlet.
