Installation Guide

1. Safety First: Ensure the engine is off and disconnect the battery cables. Shift the outboard into the neutral position.
2. Drain Gearcase Oil: Place a drain pan under the lower unit and remove the upper and lower gearcase oil drain screws to drain the oil completely.
3. Remove Lower Unit: Loosen and remove the bolts securing the lower unit (gearcase) to the outboard's upper housing.
4. Separate Assembly: Carefully slide the lower unit down and away from the upper housing to expose the driveshaft and water pump assembly.
5. Access Impeller: Remove the bolts on the water pump housing cover to access the impeller.
6. Remove Old Impeller: Note the orientation of the old impeller blades. Remove the old impeller and the drive key from the shaft.
