Installation Guide

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable for safety.
2. Place the outboard gear shift in neutral.
3. Remove the lower unit (gearcase) from the outboard motor.
4. Unbolt and remove the water pump housing to access the impeller.
5. Note the orientation of the old impeller's vanes before removing it.
6. Clean any debris or corrosion from the inside of the pump housing and wear plate.
7. Lightly grease the new impeller and the inside of the housing with marine grease.
8. Install the new impeller by turning the driveshaft clockwise, which will bend the vanes in the correct direction.
9. Reinstall the water pump housing with a new gasket, ensuring bolts are tightened to the specified torque.
10. Reattach the lower unit to the engine.
11. Reconnect the battery, start the engine in a water supply, and verify a strong, steady stream from the tell-tale outlet.
