Installation Guide

1. Safety First: Ensure the engine is completely cool and the battery is disconnected before starting.
2. Document the Firing Order: Before removing any wires, label or photograph the existing wires' routing from the distributor cap to each spark plug. This is critical for maintaining the correct firing order.
3. Remove Wires One by One: To avoid confusion, replace one wire at a time. Grasp the boot, twist gently, and pull straight off the spark plug and distributor cap. Do not pull on the wire itself.
4. Clean Connection Points: Inspect and clean the spark plug terminals and distributor cap towers of any dirt or corrosion.
5. Match Wire Lengths: Select a new wire from the set that matches the length of the one you just removed.
6. Apply Dielectric Grease: Apply a small amount of dielectric grease to the inside of both boots of the new wire. This prevents corrosion and makes future removal easier.
7. Install the New Wire: Firmly press the boot onto the spark plug until you feel it click into place. Route the wire correctly and connect the other end to the corresponding tower on the distributor cap, ensuring it also clicks securely.
8. Repeat for All Wires: Continue this process for all remaining cylinders, carefully following the original routing.
9. Secure the Wires: Use the original wire looms or clips to secure the new wires, keeping them away from hot engine components and moving parts.
10. Reconnect and Test: Reconnect the battery, start the engine, and listen for a smooth idle. Check for any signs of misfiring.
