This aftermarket trim sender / trim angle sensor replaces Suzuki Marine 34801-93J00 and the later supersessions 34801-93J01, 34801-93J02, 34801-93J03, and 34801-93J04. It mounts on the outboard tilt/trim assembly and feeds trim position to the helm gauge.
Match this part in this order:
1. OEM number on the removed sender or in your parts catalog — 34801-93J00, 34801-93J01, 34801-93J02, 34801-93J03, or 34801-93J04
2. Engine model — Suzuki DF200, DF225, or DF250 (2004+) that calls for the 34801-93Jxx sender
3. Physical form — black plastic housing with lever arm, two mounting ears, and a multi-pin harness connector (compare to the product images)
Do not order this listing if your catalog calls for the separate TYPE:L trim sender path (34801-99Exx). Confirm the number on the unit you are removing before purchase.
Use this table to confirm equivalent Suzuki numbers in the 34801-93Jxx supersession path.
| Type | Brand | Part Number | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Primary OEM Reference | Suzuki Marine | 34801-93J00 | Original sender assembly (superseded) |
| OEM supersession | Suzuki Marine | 34801-93J01 | Replaces 34801-93J00 |
| OEM supersession | Suzuki Marine | 34801-93J02 | Replaces 34801-93J01 |
| OEM supersession | Suzuki Marine | 34801-93J03 | Replaces 34801-93J02 |
| OEM supersession | Suzuki Marine | 34801-93J04 | Current supersession of 34801-93J03 |
Confirm your engine model and that your parts catalog calls for a 34801-93Jxx trim sender. For Suzuki serial and model guidance: Suzuki Parts Diagrams. The serial plate is typically on the transom bracket.
Important: Model and year alone are not enough. Match the OEM number on the removed sender. This listing is not for TYPE:L applications that use the separate 34801-99Exx sender.
| Brand | Engine Model | HP | Years | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Suzuki | DF200 | 200 | 2004+ | When catalog calls for 34801-93Jxx (typically 25"/30" / non-TYPE:L) |
| Suzuki | DF225 | 225 | 2004+ | When catalog calls for 34801-93Jxx (typically 25"/30" / non-TYPE:L) |
| Suzuki | DF250 | 250 | 2004+ | When catalog calls for 34801-93Jxx (typically 25"/30" / non-TYPE:L) |
| Specification | Value |
|---|---|
| Part type | Trim sender / trim angle sensor assembly |
| Primary OEM number | 34801-93J00 |
| Supersession path | 34801-93J01 → 34801-93J02 → 34801-93J03 → 34801-93J04 |
| Function | Transmits outboard trim/tilt angle to the helm trim gauge |
| Form (as shown) | Black plastic housing, lever arm, two mounting ears, integrated harness |
| Connector | 3-wire harness ending in a 3-pin plug (see product images) |
| Application family | Suzuki DF200 / DF225 / DF250 (2004+) calling for 34801-93Jxx |
Disconnect the battery negative terminal. Locate the existing trim sender on the tilt/trim assembly near the hydraulic cylinder / transom bracket and note wire routing and lever orientation.
Unplug the harness connector. Remove the mounting fasteners that secure the sender body and carefully withdraw the old unit.
Install the new sender in the same orientation so the lever arm engages the trim cam/linkage as on the original. Refit mounting hardware to the original torque practice for your engine.
Reconnect the harness until the connector is fully seated. Route the cable clear of moving trim linkage and heat sources, then reconnect the battery.
Cycle trim/tilt through the full range and verify the helm gauge tracks smoothly. If your model requires a trim-limit reset after sender replacement, follow the procedure in the Suzuki service manual.
Note: Professional installation is recommended to ensure safety and optimal performance.
This is an aftermarket JLM Marine replacement matched to Suzuki 34801-93J00 and its 34801-93J01 through 34801-93J04 supersessions. It is not a genuine Suzuki Marine part.
Confirm DF200, DF225, or DF250 (2004+), then match the number on the sender you are removing to 34801-93J00, 34801-93J01, 34801-93J02, 34801-93J03, or 34801-93J04. If your catalog lists 34801-99Exx (TYPE:L), order that family instead.
Common signs include an erratic or stuck trim gauge, no gauge movement when trimming, or a reading that no longer tracks engine angle. Inspect wiring, grounds, and connector corrosion before replacing the sender.
This listing is the trim sender assembly with integrated harness as shown in the product images. Reuse serviceable original mounting hardware when possible, or source fasteners separately if yours are damaged.
