Remove the mounting fastener (if used) and pull the sensor straight out of the port. Inspect the bore for debris and replace any damaged port seal surface.

Lightly lubricate the green O-ring with clean engine oil (avoid silicone grease unless your service procedure specifies it), seat the new sensor fully, and secure the mount.
