Allow the engine to cool fully. Disconnect the battery negative cable before working on the fuel-pump or oil-pressure circuit.

Label and disconnect the wiring from the old oil pressure sensor or switch. Unscrew the old unit and compare its thread, connector style, and OEM number to this 8M0210755 replacement. Do not force a mismatched thread.

Install the new sensor by hand, then tighten snugly with the correct wrench on the body hex — do not over-torque. Reconnect the harness per your MerCruiser wiring diagram.

Reconnect the battery, start the engine, and confirm the electric fuel pump runs with oil pressure present and that there are no oil leaks at the port.
