Installation Guide

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the gearcase lubricant from the lower unit.
3. Remove the mounting bolts securing the lower unit (gearcase) and carefully detach it from the outboard midsection.
4. Unscrew the bolts for the water pump housing and lift the housing off.
5. Note the rotational direction of the existing impeller blades before removal.
6. Remove the old impeller, Woodruff key, and any existing gaskets or seals.
7. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the pump housing and wear plate.
8. Install the new Woodruff key into the driveshaft keyway.
9. Slide the new impeller onto the driveshaft, rotating it in the correct direction to seat the blades.
10. Reinstall the water pump housing with any new gaskets. Tighten bolts to the manufacturer's torque specifications.
11. Reattach the lower unit to the outboard and refill with fresh gear lube.
12. Reconnect the battery and test the engine using a water supply (flushing muffs or in water) to verify correct pump operation.
