5. Remove Old Impeller: Note the rotational direction of the existing impeller blades. Carefully pry the old impeller off the driveshaft.
6. Clean and Inspect: Clean any debris or corrosion from the pump housing, wear plate, and driveshaft. Inspect for scoring or damage.
7. Install New Impeller: Lightly lubricate the new impeller and housing interior with marine grease. Slide the new impeller onto the driveshaft, turning the shaft in the direction of normal engine rotation to fold the blades correctly.
