Installation Guide
- Disconnect the battery and remove the lower unit from the outboard motor following your engine's service manual.
- Remove the water pump housing cover and carefully extract the old impeller. Inspect the pump housing for debris or damage.
- Lubricate the new impeller with glycerin or soapy water (never petroleum-based grease). Insert it into the housing, ensuring blades face the correct rotation direction.
- Align the impeller key with the drive shaft slot and seat the impeller fully.
- Reinstall the water pump housing cover, tightening bolts to the manufacturer's torque specification.
- Reattach the lower unit to the motor and reconnect the battery.
- Run the engine in a test tank or on-water and verify consistent water flow from the tell-tale.
