Our skeg guards bolt directly onto your motor's skeg to prevent damage from rocks, debris, and ramp dragging — or to repair an already broken skeg. Made from 316 marine-grade stainless steel with a reinforced 3mm wear tab, each guard installs in under 10 minutes with included hardware.

⚠ Mercury 40-115 HP — Which Gearcase Do I Have?

Mercury makes two different gearcase sizes for the same HP range. Choosing the wrong one means the guard won't fit.

Small gearcase (3.44") — Standard 40-60 HP → Use 27341
Large gearcase (4.25") — Bigfoot / Command Thrust / SeaPro 40-60 HP → Use 27071
Standard gearcase — 75-115 HP (before 2015) → Use 27071
Standard gearcase — 75-115 HP 4-Stroke (2015+) → Use 27061
4.8" torpedo gearcase — Command Thrust / Verado / ProXS 75-300 HP → Use 27211
