How to Match This Part
This is a flexible nitrile rubber impeller for oil-resistant bilge, waste and diesel-transfer pumps. It sits inside the pump housing behind the cover plate and is driven by a 12-tooth splined shaft. It replaces the primary original part number Jabsco 1210-0003, and is also supplied against Johnson 09-1027B-9 and JMP 7100-02.
Match this part by checking your pump in this order:
1. Original impeller part number (stamped on the old impeller or listed in the pump section of your parts catalog)
2. Drive type (this listing is a 12-spline hub, not a key drive)
3. Compound (this listing is nitrile for oil, diesel and contaminated water, not the neoprene 1210-0001 cooling impeller)
4. Pump model (cast or labelled on the pump body)
Identify it physically before ordering. This impeller has twelve vanes moulded in black nitrile around a machined brass 12-spline insert. JMP 7100-02 is 57 mm diameter, 31.5 mm width and 16 mm (5/8 in.) bore. It is not interchangeable with neoprene 1210-0001 / 7100-01, or with the 12-blade key-drive JMP 7110-01 (57 × 20 × 12.7 mm).
- ✓ Primary OEM: Jabsco 1210-0003
- ✓ Product form: 12-blade nitrile impeller, brass 12-spline insert, 16 mm bore
- ✓ Fitment: part number, then drive type, then pump model

Package Contents
This listing is for the impeller only, as shown in the product images. Please refer to the part number cross-reference table to confirm component details.
Cover plate gaskets, O-rings and lubricant are not included. Jabsco 1210-0003-P is a kit number. If your service procedure calls for a new cover seal, order it separately against your pump model.
Installation Guide
-
1
Isolate the pump, let it drain, and close any seacock or supply valve so fluid cannot enter the boat while the housing is open.
-
2
Remove the cover plate screws and lift off the cover. Keep the screws and the old gasket or O-ring together so you can compare the seal size when reassembling.
-
3
Note the spline orientation, then grip the brass insert and pull the old impeller straight off. Recover any broken vane pieces from the discharge line before continuing.
-
4
Clean the housing bore and the wear plate, and inspect them for scoring. Apply a marine impeller lubricant or glycerine to the bore and the new vanes before fitting.
-
5
Align the 12-tooth spline in the brass insert with the pump shaft, then press the impeller in while turning the shaft in the normal direction of rotation so all twelve vanes lay over the same way.
-
6
Refit the cover plate with a serviceable gasket or O-ring, tighten the screws evenly in a crisscross pattern, restore the supply, then start the pump and confirm flow and no leaks at the cover.
Note: Professional installation is recommended to ensure safety and optimal performance.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
How do I confirm this fits my pump?
+
Start from the original impeller number. If the old part is Jabsco 1210-0003, Johnson 09-1027B-9 or JMP 7100-02, and the brass hub is a 12-tooth spline on a 16 mm bore, this impeller is the correct size. Confirm nitrile vs neoprene from the old part number suffix.
Can I use this instead of 1210-0001?
+
No. Both parts are 12-blade, 57 × 31.5 × 16 mm 12-spline, but 1210-0001 / 09-1027B / 7100-01 is neoprene for engine cooling. This listing is nitrile for oil, diesel and contaminated water. Use the compound the pump manufacturer specifies.
Will this fit a Yanmar 3JH / 4JH or Volvo Penta D2?
+
Those cooling pumps use neoprene 1210-0001 / 7100-01 / Yanmar 129470-42530. This nitrile impeller is not a cooling-pump spare for those engines unless the parts list specifically calls for 1210-0003 or 09-1027B-9.
What are the signs that my impeller needs replacing?
+
The usual symptoms are a weak or intermittent discharge, noisy running, and vanes that are cracked, flattened, swollen or missing on inspection. Flexible impellers are a wear item; inspect on a fixed service interval rather than waiting for failure.
Is this a kit or just the impeller?
+
This listing is the impeller only. Jabsco 1210-0003-P is a kit number that adds a gasket, O-ring and lubricant.
Is this an OEM or aftermarket part?
+
This listing is an aftermarket replacement part and is not an OEM component. We build to OEM specifications using comparable-grade materials. Production is done in an ISO9002-certified facility, and each batch is inspected for consistent performance.
How fast do you ship and how much does it cost?
+
We offer fast global shipping, typically 5–15 days worldwide, and standard shipping is free. Expedited options are available at checkout depending on your location.
What is your warranty and return policy?
+
This product includes a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If something goes wrong, contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard return window for unused items in original condition; please see our policy page or reach out for instructions.
Important Notes
- Verify that the product images and specifications match your original part. If discrepancies exist, even if your model is listed, do not proceed with the purchase.
- This product is an aftermarket replacement part and is not an OEM component.
- The impeller is supplied on its own. Cover seals and lubricant must be ordered separately if your service procedure requires them.
- This is nitrile, 12-spline, 16 mm bore. It will not substitute for neoprene 1210-0001 or the 12-blade key-drive JMP 7110-01.
- Never run the pump dry. Even a few seconds without fluid will damage the vanes.
- Professional installation is recommended to ensure safety and optimal performance.
