- Disconnect Power: Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent electrical shorts.
- Relieve Fuel Pressure: Safely relieve the pressure from the fuel system to avoid spray when disconnecting lines.
- Access the Fuel Rail: Remove any components blocking access to the fuel rail and injectors.
- Disconnect Injector: Unplug the electrical connector from the fuel injector.
- Disconnect Fuel Line: Carefully disconnect the fuel line from the fuel rail. Place a rag underneath to catch any residual fuel.
- Remove Fuel Rail: Unbolt the fuel rail assembly and lift it away, bringing the injectors with it.
- Remove Old Injector: Carefully pull the old fuel injector out from the fuel rail.
- Install New Injector: Lightly lubricate the new injector's O-rings with clean engine oil and press it firmly into the fuel rail.
