Installation Guide
- Ensure the engine is off and cool. Disconnect the negative battery terminal for safety.
- Relieve pressure from the fuel system according to the manufacturer's service manual.
- Place an absorbent rag beneath the old fuel pump to catch any fuel spillage.
- Carefully disconnect the fuel inlet and outlet lines from the pump, noting their positions.
- Remove the mounting bolts holding the old fuel pump in place.
- Gently remove the old pump assembly and discard the old O-ring.
- Clean the mounting surface on the engine block thoroughly to ensure a proper seal.
- Position the new O-ring (included) correctly onto the new fuel pump.
- Mount the new fuel pump assembly and tighten the mounting bolts to the manufacturer's specified torque. Do not overtighten.
- Reconnect the fuel lines to the correct ports and secure them with the appropriate clamps, including the new one provided.
- Reconnect the battery.
- Prime the fuel system if required, and carefully inspect for any leaks before starting the engine.
