- Reconnect the battery.
- Prime the fuel system according to your engine's manual and check thoroughly for any leaks before starting the engine.
Troubleshooting & FAQ
How can I confirm this filter fits my specific Mercury outboard?
This filter fits various 75-115HP Mercury/Mariner 4-stroke models from 2004-2011. The best way to confirm is to match your engine's serial number against the ranges listed in the 'Compatible Engine Models' table. Also, verify that your engine uses an 8mm (5/16") fuel line connection.
What direction should the filter be installed?
This is an in-line filter. It must be installed with the fuel flow arrow on the housing pointing towards the engine. Incorrect installation can block fuel flow and starve the engine of fuel.
How often should I replace my fuel filter?
As a crucial part of routine maintenance, we recommend replacing your fuel filter annually or every 100 hours of operation, whichever comes first. Please consult your owner's manual for the specific service interval recommended for your engine model.
What are the symptoms of a clogged fuel filter?
Common signs of a restricted fuel filter include engine hesitation, sputtering, loss of power, difficulty starting, or stalling, especially at high speeds. Replacing a clogged filter is a common fix to restore engine performance.
OEM vs. Aftermarket?
This listing is an aftermarket replacement part (not an OEM component). We build to OEM specifications using comparable-grade materials. Production is done in an ISO9002-certified facility, and each batch is inspected for consistent performance.
How fast do you ship and how much does it cost?
We offer fast global shipping—typically 5–15 days worldwide—and standard shipping is free. Expedited options are available at checkout depending on your location.
What is your warranty and return policy?
This product includes a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects under normal use. If something goes wrong, contact our support team with your order details. Returns are accepted within our standard return window (unused & in original condition); please see our policy page or reach out for instructions.
Important Notes
- Verify that the product images and specifications match your original part. If discrepancies exist—even if your model is listed—do not proceed with the purchase.
- This product is an aftermarket replacement part and is not an OEM component.
- Professional installation is recommended to ensure safety and optimal performance.
